Bobby & Steve are highly respected DJs, promoters, radio presenters, record producers, and business partners. They are known for their influential contributions to the soulful house and disco scene and have achieved legendary status in the industry. They are also the founders of the renowned Groove Odyssey brand.
Bobby & Steve, aka Bobby Zoo & Stevie Zoo, a DJ duo, have been in the industry for 37 years and are celebrating 13 years of their brand Groove Odyssey. They have a residency at the famous Ministry of Sound and host the main stage at the 51st State Festival. They also have their annual GO Ibiza weekender and Dance for Stevie events.
In 2020 Brother Steve Laviniere, suffered a rare brain injury called acute hemorrhagic leukoencephalitis after contracting COVID-19. The diagnosis has caused a Prolonged Disorder of Consciousness, leaving him unable to communicate or move his body. Bobby and the team have worked tirelessly to raise funds to facilitate Stevie’s rehabilitation and future care, Dance For Stevie. Robert and Stephen Laviniere, known as the pioneers of soulful house, have been making their mark on the music scene since the mid 80’s. Born and raised in London’s East End, the twins began their career during a transformative period in the city’s nightlife. As the rare groove movement was gaining momentum, the Laviniere brothers became influential figures in the vibrant warehouse party scene of the 1980s. Alongside renowned DJs like Norman Jay, Paul ‘Trouble’ Anderson, Jazzy B, and Trevor Nelson, they played soul, funk, and disco music that captivated audiences and helped shape the soulful house genre.
