Three Crowns Plymouth
The Three Crowns Plymouth is a historic pub located on the Barbican in Plymouth, England. The building itself dates back to the 16th century and has been a pub since the 18th century.
The pub has a rich history and was once frequented by smugglers who used the tunnels underneath the building to transport their contraband. In fact, the tunnels are still there and can be viewed by visitors today.
During World War II, the Three Crowns Plymouth was used as a gathering place for American and British troops before they were deployed to Normandy for the D-Day invasion.
Today, the Three Crowns Plymouth is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike to enjoy a pint and some traditional pub food. The interior of the pub retains much of its original character, with exposed wooden beams and a cosy, welcoming atmosphere. It’s a great place to soak up some history and enjoy a taste of traditional Plymouth hospitality.
