Lee Coffey ‘House by the Sea’
Lee Coffey, “The Captin”, is a veteran DJ chasing beats since the early days of house music. He started at Bluebird Records, a popular import record shop, and soon began playing at clubs like Desire, Elevation, and Moondance.
Lee’s career took off when he landed a job at Blackmarket Records, where he spent 12 years supplying records to DJs worldwide and contributing to numerous house record labels. Lee has also held DJ residencies in Russia, India, Ibiza, and London but always returned to his Blackmarket home in Soho.
He has been a regular DJ on House FM for over 20 years and now hosts his show, ‘House by the Sea’, broadcasting from just outside Newquay, Cornwall. Lee’s show features an eclectic mix of soul, funk, rare groove, soulful house, and disco.
Also, the label and events boss of Househead London has gone from strength to strength since its launch in 2022. With releases from Prefix One, DJ Pope, Lifford and Wez Whynt.
